REQUIREMENTS:

• Students must be ages 8-18.

• Students must perform a total of 2 pieces. (Example: actors should perform 2 contrasting monologues.  Singers should perform 2 contrasting songs. Dancers should perform 2 different styles of dance. Actors who sing should perform 1 monologue and 1 song.  Dancers who sing should perform 1 dance and sing one song.  Actors who dance should perform 1 monologue and 1 dance.)

• Each audition piece must be 1-2 minutes in length.

• If chosen, students must sign up tentatively Mondays or Fridays for private lessons, and then ensemble groups meet on Sundays.

• 1 comedic monologue 

• 1 dramatic monologue 

• 1 pantomime

• 1 original character (tell us a story as that character)

 

Singer Examples:  

• Broadway uptempo

• Broadway ballad

• Concert uptempo

• Concert ballad

• No acapella songs

• Tap

• Hip-hop

• Contemporary

• Ballet
